An easy, but compelling read
I am missing being Amie. I was immersed in her, in her internal struggles and her external world.
I felt I knew Lochinhead so well that I could walk round it.
I’ve been walking through the woods of Lochinhead as I once walked with Mrs Dalloway throhrough the streets of London.
Your eye and ear for detail is remarkably sustained – A feat of stepping sympathetically into her shoes.
I loved the way the back story slowly emerged, enabling me to get to know Amie gradually, drawing me in.
It took me a few pages to get used to the style, but once I did I couldn’t put Amie’s Rest down.
I felt privileged to enter her (Amie’s) world.
